Best Accessory Combinations for Maximum Play Value
The frame stays the same and the accessories change as the children grow. The trick is knowing how many fit at once on your frame, and which ones suit which ages.
How much fits on each frame
Accessories hang from the bars along the top of the frame. A swing seat, trapeze or pair of gym rings takes two attachment points. A nest swing, boxing bag or fitness rope takes up three bars, which fills a Wall frame on its own.

Combinations by age
Babies and toddlers
- Baby seat (€79) — three-point harness and T-bar, usable from nine months with an adult pushing, up to 30kg
- Nest swing (€129) — rated to 150kg, so a parent or older sibling can share it
Ages 3 to 8
- Swing seat (€39) and trapeze (€29) — a simple pair that fits any frame
- Gym rings (€42) — for hanging and swinging

Ages 8 to 13

Ages 14 and over

Mixed ages on one frame
With children of different ages, the Large or Extra Large earns its keep. On a Large you could hang a baby seat, a swing seat and a pair of gym rings at the same time, with the climbing wall clamped to one end. On the Large you can also swap in the hammock (€109) when the swinging is done.

Building it up over time
You don't have to buy everything at once. A frame with one or two swings is a complete starting point, and accessories under €50 — the swing seat, trapeze, gym rings, fitness rope and resistance bands — make easy birthday and Christmas additions. Frequently Asked Questions
How many accessories can a PlayBase hold at once?
It depends on the frame. Most swing-type accessories use two carabiners, so the Wall (3 points) takes one or two at once, the Medium (4 points) two, the Large (6 points) three and the Extra Large (8 points) four.
Do all PlayBase accessories fit every frame?
Most do. The exceptions are the hammock, which fits the Large only; the platform and slide, which fits the Medium, Large and Extra Large but not the Wall; and the climbing net and soccer goal, which come in M, L and XL to match the Medium, Large and Extra Large frames.
Are carabiners included with accessories?
Carabiner hooks come as standard with a PlayBase frame, but not with accessories bought on their own.
