Outdoor Play Equipment for Irish Gardens

A swing here, a goal there and a slide in the corner can quickly fill a garden. The BERG PlayBase takes a different approach: one steel frame that carries swings, a slide, climbing, sport and fitness equipment, so your garden becomes a home playground without the clutter.
One frame, many kinds of play
Children rarely play one game for long. They swing, then climb, then want a ball. A PlayBase lets you put all of that in one footprint. Accessories clip onto the frame's carabiner points, and you can move or swap them as interests change.
Every frame is 2.45m high and 1m deep, made from galvanised, powder-coated steel with a 400kg maximum load. Choose the frame for your garden, then add the equipment.
Swings
The heart of most home playgrounds. Start with a swing seat (€39) or a baby seat (€79, from 9 months), add a nest swing (€129) for two, and a trapeze or gym rings for older children. The Large is the only frame that takes the hammock. See swing sets and swing and slide sets.
Slide
The Platform + Slide (€399, 3+) fits the Medium, Large and Extra Large. It is not available for the Wall frame.
Climbing wall, net and monkey bars
The climbing wall (€399) fits every frame. The climbing net comes in M, L and XL to match the Medium, Large and Extra Large (€219 to €399). For monkey-bar style climbing, choose ladder end frames on the Medium or Large — the LL version has a ladder at both ends.
Basketball hoop and soccer goal
The basketball hoop (€199) fits every frame. Its 50kg rating is a load limit on the hoop — it is not for hanging from the rim. The soccer goal is sized to the frame: M €99, L €149, XL €199, and does not fit the Wall.
Fitness kit for teens and adults
When the swings come down, the frame keeps going. The pull-up bar, dip bar, boxing bag, fitness rope and resistance bands are rated to 100kg and are for ages 14 and over. See heavy-duty outdoor play equipment and PlayBase for adults.

What outdoor play equipment fits on a PlayBase?
Swings (swing seat, baby seat, nest swing, trapeze, gym rings, hammock on the Large), the Platform + Slide (not the Wall), climbing wall, climbing net, basketball hoop, soccer goal and fitness accessories such as a pull-up bar, dip bar and boxing bag.
Can I build a home playground in a small garden?
Yes. The PlayBase Wall needs 4m × 3m of clear space in front of a solid wall and takes swings, the climbing wall, basketball hoop and fitness kit. The Medium needs 6m × 4m and also takes the slide, net and soccer goal.
Is the PlayBase suitable for schools or creches?
The PlayBase is designed for private, domestic (home) use. Schools, creches and childminders with questions about outdoor equipment should call us on 01 960 1641.
Does outdoor play equipment need concrete?
Not the PlayBase. The Medium, Large and Extra Large are held by ground anchors with no concrete. The Wall frame fixes to a solid wall, such as the wall of your house or garage.
Can I add more equipment later?
Yes. Accessories can be bought at any time, so you can start with swings and add the slide, climbing or sports pieces as your children grow.
